Enjoy the sun while you can. Hopefully you all got out in it over the weekend. It looks like our April showers return by the end of the week. I spent some time yesterday planting seeds in my raised beds. It's always exciting to anticipate the sprouting of new plants. In my opinion, there's not much more satisfying than being able to harvest things you've grown.
I have a similar feeling about watching your children grow and flourish in our classroom and greater MRA community. It is absolutely awesome to reflect back on where we've come from, and where we're headed now. Recently your students wowed me with their 3-dimensional models of body systems studied in our Code Blue unit. There are no limits to what they can achieve. I am especially excited about Independent Projects this year. After spending an extensive amount of time on researching with our Ancient Civilizations research papers this winter, I am anticipating presentations chalk full of fascinating information.
Much thanks to those of you who were able to support our annual dinner/auction fundraiser this year. Your contributions of time, money and donated items are so appreciated. We literally could not do it without you. It was a fun event. The Roaring 20s theme was a hoot. Kudos to those of you who dressed the part. I enjoyed donning a hat and pearls for the occasion.
Just a few reminders:
Finally, if you have not yet contributed to the 2015 Seeds of Change grant contest, please do so. Go to www.seedsofchangegrant.com to vote. You can vote once a day. Look up Molalla or Roots of Responsibility Garden to cast your vote. With every ones support, we could win thousands to continue the development of our ever growing garden. Thank you!
