It's hard to believe we've made it to winter break. The years seem to fly by quicker by the minute. Today we celebrated with a casual viewing of Elf (in my room), or The Polar Express (in Mrs. Hood's room). Thank you to all the families who sent snacks for the kids to enjoy. We had a lovely spread. Thank you again Ronda Corless for coordinating the effort. After lunch the entire school poured into the Wild Woods (gym) for a final rehearsal of our winter program. The program will be held tonight at 7:00 pm in the high school auditorium. I look forward to seeing you all there.
With sincere gratitude, I receive the wonderful gifts you all sent with your children today, and the contributions made toward the special luncheon the staff enjoyed on Wednesday. It is so lovely to feel appreciated. I certainly do. Your children are the reason I teach. If it weren't for each of them, my job would not be worth doing. Thank you!
Enjoy the break. Renew, refresh, and get ready for the new year. We've got many more things to learn, and ways to grow. See you next year!
